You’ll need driving instructions if you plan to either 1) drive your own car from home, or 2) rent a car and drive from the Bozeman airport (closest) or other airport such as Billings, Butte, Missoula, or Helena. The route is well marked when coming from all directions.
If you have a GPS or smartphone with Google Maps or similar app, the route-finding will be easy. The Summer National Conference will be held at Big Sky Resort — you can see and bookmark the location here on Google Maps.
If you are approaching Big Sky Resort from the North, by way of 1) Bozeman airport, 2) Interstate 90 East (Billings, Sioux Falls, Chicago), or 3) Interstate 90 West (Missoula, Spokane, Seattle), you’ll turn off the Interstate at either Bozeman or Belgrade. You’ll then follow Highway 191 up the Gallatin River towards Yellowstone National Park. After 45 miles of driving up the beautiful Gallatin Canyon, you’ll have no trouble seeing the well-marked entrance to Big Sky Resort. Our event is at the Yellowstone Conference Center, a few miles up the mountain from Highway 191, and the accommodations are all located nearby.
If you are approaching Big Sky Resort from the south (West Yellowstone, Idaho Falls, Salt Lake City), you’ll be coming down the Gallatin Canyon on Highway 191. Big Sky Resort is located 57 miles south of West Yellowstone. You cannot miss the sign that identifies the turn off. Our event is at the Yellowstone Conference Center, a few miles up the mountain from Highway 191, and the accommodations are all located nearby.
Once you arrive at Big Sky Resort, you’ll drive up the hill towards the Yellowstone Conference Center. All the rooms are located within walking distance of the Center.
