Helena, Montana — July 15, 2015 — Habitat X, organizer of the national think tank for the sustainable building industry, will host its 2015 Summer National Conference July 21-23 at Big Sky Resort, Montana. Montana Lieutenant Governor Angela McLean will discuss sustainable living and economic development in Montana, including the Montana SMART Schools initiative.
Lt Governor McLean will address the conference Tuesday at 10:20 a.m. The panel discussion The Evolving Role of Modern Utilities will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with NorthWestern Energy CEO Bob Rowe, Pacific Gas & Electric health specialist Leif Magnuson, Utility Exchange management consultant Ed Thomas, and NorthWestern Energy communications director Claudia Rapkoch.

Professionals from across North America gather each year at the Habitat X Conference to develop strategies for the design, construction, and management of buildings that are healthy, comfortable, and energy-efficient. Their goal is to reduce the impact of buildings on global climate, and to change foster sustainable economic development of both local and global communities.
The event attracts participants from the utility industry, government, health organizations, manufacturers, and sustainable housing groups.
The public and press are welcome to register for the event. A reception is planned for Tuesday, July 21st from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
